This latest report chronicles the results from April through June across 11 western states, including collaborative efforts to conserve over 2.8 million acres of habitat for sage grouse by: 1) improving rangeland, 2) reducing bird moralities from fence collisions, and 3) removing encroaching conifers.

A new partnership between the Bureau of Land Management and the Intermountain West Joint Venture will build on the successful model pioneered by the NRCS-led Sage Grouse Initiative on private ranchlands, and promote win-win solutions for people and wildlife across the sagebrush sea.
