June 26, 2013
Take a look at this short action-packed video, featuring Lorelle Berkeley, Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks biologist working with SGI to research how well new grazing systems are benefiting sage grouse survival. SGI science makes sure Farm Bill spending on sage grouse makes a difference. When needed, we adjust practices for better results.
The Sage Grouse Initiative is a partnership-based, science-driven effort that uses voluntary incentives to proactively conserve America’s western rangelands, wildlife, and rural way of life. This initiative is part of Working Lands For Wildlife, which is led by USDA’s Natural Resources Conservation Service.
